Major Hair Cut

Today mommy took me to get my hair cut. She says that I have very fine hair (from Aunt Kate), a natural wave (from her) and that it's just not manageable anymore (whatever that means!). So she took me to Ms. Helen to get my hair chopped. I sat very still and was very good while getting my hair cut. Ms. Helen said I should get it short so it could grow in thicker, so it's short! Mommy is worried what daddy will say, but I guess it's too late now!! Mommy says that I look like a big girl now and that makes her sad!!

A New Blog

So mommy wanted to highlight one of her friend's blogs. I guess blogs are the new hype thing with moms!!

H Is For Heidi is a fun blog that mommy's friend recently started. Mommy knows Heidi through MOPS and her daughters also take the same dance classes I attend.

Mommy was so excited to have more friends blogging that she said I had to share!!

Disney on Valentine's Day

On Valentine's Day I went to Walt Disney World with my grandma, Jackie, cousins: Mandy, Ren, and Spencer, and my mommy! It was a cold day and so we had to bundle up, but we still had lots of fun. This was my first trip with Jackie and she went on lots of rides with me. I was went on lots of rides with my cousins! I even got a Princess Hat and gun (thanks, Jackie!!!).

Jr. Miss Pageant

Tonight I went with mommy, daddy, Jackie and Pop Pop to the Jr. Miss Pageant. My cousin, Kassie, was a contestant and we went to support her. While it was a little long for my attention span, I still enjoyed cheering for her. Kassie looked absolutely beautiful and did really well! She won Miss Photogenic and also won 2nd Runner Up. We all thought she deserved first place, but there's always next year!!

My Own Digital Camera

Look at me, aren't I cool? I just got a digital camera. It was a present from a relative that would like to remain nameless (she's worried that the other grandkids...who aren't even born yet, will get jealous...or maybe it's that the other mommies will take note of ALL the presents I get!!). Anyway, it is the coolest little camera. The only problem, though, is that while I take lots of pictures, I also like to delete them. So mommy hasn't had the chance to put any on my blog because I have deleted them. She has told me to leave the delete button alone, but you know me...! But at least mommy took a few pics of me in action:)

Watch out everyone! I am very good at taking funny pictures, especially of body parts (and in the Merrell household, that means large butts!!).

South Florida Fair

Last Friday I went to my very first Fair. I went with mommy, Nana, and Poppy and I had SOOO much fun. Poppy got a wrist band with me so that meant he had to go on most of the rides with me. But we had lots of fun. The lines weren't long, so when we got off one, we would hop right on to the next one. I had such a good time and I even got Cotton Candy!! But after 3 hours, mommy and Nana said they were tired and we left. To be honest, I was pretty worn out myself:)

Breakfast With Grandpa

Mommy says that I am getting just a little too independent, and I guess it's true. But why should have to ask her permission or tell her where I am going when it's so much easier to just go?

I like to visit grandpa during the day because he always gives me cookies (even if it's right before a meal). So I usually have to go visit him at least once a day to get my sugar fix!

This morning, however, I decided I need to visit him a little earlier than usual. So, when mommy was putting clothes away I marched outside and next door to see him. Of course I didn't tell her, why should I? But she did find me a few minutes later when she noticed that I was being very quiet!

Once I got to grandpa's I told him I was hungry and he made me eggs and ham. It was really good because I ate it all! It was fun having breakfast with him, but mommy says not to get any ideas because I can't do it every morning!

Taxi Driver!

Pop Pop bought me my John Deer Gator 2 Christmas' ago...long before my feet could even touch the petal! But now I can reach it just fine and I love driving my "bike." The other night my dog, Cricket, decided that she would like a ride and hopped on to the back of my "bike." Cricket likes to ride with us a lot, especially when we take the big Gator on rides. I always have to ride on mommy's lap so that Cricket can ride with us!

I had fun being a taxi for a while and I think she enjoyed it too!!

Tiolet Troubles

Just recently mommy has been allowing me to go to the bathroom on my own. She thinks that I have to be a big girl and do things on my own, especially since I will have a little brother in May! The only complaint she has, though, is that I use A LOT of toilet paper. She has found this out because the toilet has been acting up and not flushing properly...oops! So, she has shown me how much to use, but who wants to use 4 sheets when you can use 40!?!?

Today we were getting ready to leave for Poppy & Nana's house and mommy told me to use the bathroom before leaving. Daddy called right when I was using the bathroom so mommy didn't hear right away that I had clogged up the toilet. After getting my diaper on mommy and I walked into the living room when she started yelling. The toilet was over flowing and pouring water EVERYWHERE. Mommy was SOOOO mad!

She told me to play outside, but of course I wanted to be in on the action and I wanted to know when we were leaving. She wasn't too happy with me. But she got it all cleaned up (6 towels and a mop later!) and we finally left for Nana and Poppy's!!
