Rewards of Parenting

Today Lilly was nice enough to allow me, mommy, to post! I wanted to share a special moment that Lilly and I had today! As we were leaving the house I had her in my arms (she doesn't like to get her shoes wet from the grass!!) and she leaned her head on my shoulder and said, "I love you, mommy." It was so sweet and the first time that she said it on her own for no reason. It just made my heart leap.

I guess there are rewarding to parenting!!!

No, MY Toes!

Today I stayed with Jackie while mommy had a Doctor's appointment. I noticed that Jackie had her toes painted and wanted mine done as well. So she painted my toe nails and finger nails...red! Then we went outside...barefoot! I got into Pop Pop's Polaris (large golf cart!) and right away the turkeys came over to see me. Since Jackie raised them from babies, they are very friendly. Right away they noticed my beautiful toes and started pecking at them. I started yelling at them, "No, no, my toes." I then covered my toes with my hands and they started pecking at my finger nails. At this point I got really upset and yelled "No, no, Pop Pop's truck, get down" but they didn't listen. Finally they started eating the corn, but I wasn't happy about that either. I told them "no, no, corn for deer, not turkeys" but they didn't listen. Finally they got down and left me alone!
Now, you may be wondering where Jackie was during all of this! Well, she was right there looking on and was laughing uncontrollably. She kept on saying, "If I only had my video camera."

Mommy thought this was such a funny story that she just wanted me to share it!!

I'm a Fairy Princess

Today I got a wonderful gift in the mail from my Nana. She bought me a Fairy Princess outfit...wings, skirt and wand! It is so pretty and I had to put it on right away! I liked it so much that I even wore it while I was painting. Mommy told me to be careful and I was!
Thanks, Nana!!

Bubble Bath With Daddy

I love taking baths, especially in mommy and daddy's big jacuzzi tub. Tonight daddy decided to give me a treat and gave me a bath in the BIG tub. Daddy always puts lots of bubbles in the tub for me too! And when the jets come on, then I get almost lost in the sea of bubbles!!

An Unsurpervised Mess

While mommy was folding laundry and watching TV, I decided to make an exploration through the pantry. My first find was great. It was a brand new box of pancake mix that mommy had just opened. It was calling my name and so I decided I would learn more about it...on the floor! I had great fun spreading the white mix around the floor and throwing it up in the air and calling it "Snow!" When mommy found me, though, she wasn't too happy! But she didn't yell or scream, but she did make me clean it up...the best that I could do!

Mommy was just glad that I didn't dump the entire box out! I left about 1/4 of the mix for future pancakes!! Aren't I thoughtful?!?!

Who me? No, I didn't do that!

Helping mommy clean up my mess!

Up close and personal. I had the mix everywhere!

I Scream for Ice Cream!

I love ice cream! I love it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And don't think I don't ask for it at all times during the day! I especially like to ask for it for breakfast. Yep, Nana made the mistake of letting me have it for breakfast once and now I want it ALL time time. My favorite kind of ice cream is currently ice cream sandwiches. Mommy buys me the mini ones so they aren't so big, but oh they are yummy!

The only bad part is that I get it ALL over me and usually mommy has to scrub me down in the sink. It's worth it though. But now mommy is upset with me because I have figured out how to open the freezer and take an ice cream sandwich out whenever I want one...even if mommy says "no." And if she starts to chase me to get it back, I just run as fast as I can trying to tear it open along the way. Unfortunately mommy is always faster than me and takes it away:( At that point I just cry, cry, cry and beg for my ice cream!

So here's to having ice cream all day, every day!!

Did I mention I'm a messy eater?

I'm all smiles when I have my ice cream!

A Weekend At Disney

Daddy and mommy purchased Annual Passes to Disney World and decided that it was time to use them! So, we went to Orlando for the weekend. On Saturday we went to Typhoon Lagoon which is a water park. I had a lot of fun playing in the kiddie section, riding along the Lazy River and even going in the wave pool and getting pushed by the waves. I even went on some kiddie rides alone and mommy was so proud!

I would have had pictures of my day, but mommy didn't want to bring the camera and the pictures that Disney World took were really expensive!

On Sunday we swam in the pool hotel and then went to Disney World. This was my second trip there and so we took the Ferry Boat over. I really liked the ride...especially when mommy put sun screen all over me! It was really HOT at the park and there were lots of people too. We rode on the Tea Cups, Dumbo, and the Carousel. By that time, I was getting really hot and irritable, so daddy and mommy decided it was time to go...only after being there for 2 hours. Mommy says that she will never go to Disney in the summer again!

Gangsta, baby!

Daddy, smile! We're ready for a spinning ride!

Why is everything moving so fast?

Mommy doesn't look so happy. It was hot and sticky!

After standing in line for 20 minutes,
a 1.5 minute ride just didn't seem long enough!

Getting extra brownie points with daddy!

Ready for a fun ride!

How about this face? Talk about attitude!

A Week Already?

I can't believe that mommy hasn't posted in a week, but she's been busy, so I will cut her some slack!
Let's start with last weekend. Mommy and I went to visit Nana & Poppy for the weekend. Mommy had a meeting with the Smart Moms team, so I got to spend tons of time with Nana. We went to the Zoo, played in the sandbox, took naps together, ate lots of junk food and just had fun. Wherever Nana went, I went. Mommy says that I wore Nana out, though...whatever that means!

This week has been fun, too. On Tuesday I spent the day with my cousins, Anthony, Kassie, and Louie. My Aunt Jen feel during a bicycle ride on Saturday and had a check-up, so mommy took her. Aunt Jen found out at the Doctors that she would need surgery the next day, so she and mommy were gone for a long time!

That night we had a birthday party for Louie. I did a really good job singing Happy Birthday! I also helped Louie blow out the candles...they had to relight them several times because I was soooo good at it! Oh, and the cake was yummy. I liked putting my fingers in the frosting!

On Wednesday I spent the morning with Jackie while mommy took Anthony to the Orthodontist (big word for a two year old!). And the rest of the week, well, mommy was worn out, so we just stayed home!

This weekend we are going to see Mickey Mouse, so I will have even more pics to share!!

By the way, I have a new option on my blog. If you'd like updates whenever mommy posts, you can sign up. Just look for the link above my Upclose picture on the right-hand-side panel!!

My New Favorite Song!

I love to dance. I will dance to everything including commercials. Since I have been able to talk, I am a little more vocal in what I like and often request hearing songs multiple times. Sometimes mommy says "Enough" but that's usually after hearing a song 5 times!

The other day we had some friends over and we had a little dance party to the song "Who Let the Dogs Out." Mommy says it's an old song, but I still REALLY like it!

If you want to see my dancing clip on YouTube, click here.

Off to do some more dancing!!!
